Meme Coin Exploration: The Future of $STUFF[edit | edit source]

This page documents our research, strategy, and decision-making process as we explore launching a meme coin to power both the in-game and external economy of Capitalism: The Ruthless Pursuit of Stuff.

Goals[edit | edit source]

  • Launch a meme coin that integrates with the Capitalism board game, app, and media ecosystem
  • Ensure it’s fun, useful, and potentially valuable inside and outside the game
  • Use the coin to reward players, track games, and fund expansion
  • Monetize ethically (or satirically), without pay-to-win

Proposed Coin Names[edit | edit source]

Name Symbol Notes
Stuff Coin $STUFF Brand aligned, generic but punchy Bribe Coin $BRIBE Great for satire; ties into gameplay Capital Coin $CAPS General purpose, classy Grift Token $GRIFT Sharp-edged and meme-ready Ruthless Coin $RUFF On-brand, playful tone

Chain Evaluation[edit | edit source]

We are currently evaluating the best blockchain to launch the token on. Priorities include low fees, scalability, ease of integration, and meme culture alignment.

Chain Pros Cons Status
Polygon (EVM) Cheap gas, widespread support, easy Web3 links Slightly crowded High interest Solana Fast, strong NFT/meme community Non-EVM, fewer tools Strong contender XRPL Extremely fast and low cost Less meme-native Considered Base (Coinbase) Growing fast, new hype Early phase Watching BNB Chain Cheap and common Risk of spam projects Low priority

Supply Model Options[edit | edit source]

Model Total Supply Distribution Plan Notes
Fixed Supply 1,000,000,000 Airdrop + Reserve + Rewards Simpler, meme classic Inflationary Starts at 1M, mint per game Ties into gameplay long-term Deflationary Fixed + burn on spend Could reward long-term holders Hybrid DAO Community-voted tokenomics Flexible, long term vision

Utility In-Game[edit | edit source]

  • Rewarded at end of each game (winner takes largest share)
  • Used to buy:
    • Custom avatars / roles
    • Special card packs
    • Cosmetic UI skins
    • Sabotage cards (in chaos mode)
  • Stake to unlock private lobbies or “host” status
  • Leaderboard rewards

Utility Outside Game[edit | edit source]

  • Participate in community votes (future rules, expansions)
  • Redeem at real-world partners (pizza tie-ins?)
  • Buy merch
  • Participate in NFT drops
  • Show off wealth—because, capitalism

Next Steps[edit | edit source]

  1. Decide on chain (Polygon vs Solana)
  2. Choose token name and total supply
  3. Design distribution model (airdrop, faucet, rewards)
  4. Write basic smart contract
  5. Connect to game prototype
